Tip Q speeds the next two basic attacks and makes the first an empowered critical strike. Confirm that first hit, decide whether the second attack is safe, then land E's slow and retreat toward brush when ending the short trade.

When Full melee all-in started from a brush

Tip In brush, cast Q right before the passive leap so the leap attack lands as an empowered critical strike, follow with Q's second buffed attack, then E slow and W heal to finish.

Tip Prime Q before leaping, cast E during the leap, then W on landing to reach four Ferocity and immediately reset with empowered Q. Q does have a Ferocity version and is the highest pure-burst choice.

When Starting a surprise engage with R's camouflage and Flash

Tip Activate R and wait about 1 second for camouflage, which allows Rengar to leap without brush. Flash can close the remaining gap before the leap; Q is primed just before landing for the empowered critical strike, and E follows with its slow. E does not root.
