Tip Cast Q before E so all three empowered basic attacks fit inside the 1.5-second taunt. Shen has no basic-attack reset or animation cancel, so attempting to force one only disrupts the attack timing.

When Countering a basic-attack-reliant enemy after taunting them

Tip Shen counts as an ally, so W can be self-cast. While the taunt and W overlap, the enemy lands zero attacks on Shen.

Tip The key is extending taunt range with Flash-E right after the R teleport. Shen has no mid-dash basic attack or animation cancel, so attack after the taunt lands.
