A Thousand Cuts (P)'s max-health magic damage and Snip Snip! (Q)'s center true damage punish Mundo's health-focused defenses. Gwen maintains attacks with Skip 'n Slash (E) and sustains through A Thousand Cuts (P) in the extended duel.

While Gwen is inside Hallowed Mist (W) and Sion remains outside, Decimating Smash (Q) and Roar of the Slayer (E) cannot affect her. Snip Snip! (Q)'s center true damage and A Thousand Cuts (P)'s max-health magic damage punish tank Sion.

A Thousand Cuts (P)'s max-health magic damage punishes Maokai's high health. While Gwen is inside Hallowed Mist (W) and Maokai remains outside, Sapling Toss (E) and Twisted Advance (W) cannot affect her, giving Gwen control over the fight's position.

While Nunu remains outside Hallowed Mist (W), Consume (Q) cannot target Gwen. After Nunu enters the mist, Gwen can land Snip Snip! (Q)'s center damage and A Thousand Cuts (P)'s max-health magic damage, then leave Absolute Zero (R)'s area with Skip 'n Slash (E).

Xin Zhao is the strongest early-game duelist, crushing Gwen before she scales with the third-hit knock-up of Three Talon Strike (Q) plus the empowered attacks and healing of Wind Becomes Lightning (W).

Lee Sin is strong early, dominating early skirmishes by poking with Sonic Wave/Resonating Strike (Q) and kicking Gwen out of her Hallowed Mist (W) with Dragon's Rage (R).

Kha'Zix bursts an isolated Gwen in the jungle with the isolation bonus damage of Taste Their Fear (Q), and safely engages and assassinates using the stealth of Void Assault (R).
