When Safely harass and stack Q while the enemy goes for last hits in lane

Tip W is not a root; it progressively reduces movement and attack speed for 5 seconds. Place E under the slowed target to shred armor, activate Q to load its damage onto the next basic attack, and avoid extending the chase far beyond the E zone.

When Committing to a kill after gaining levels and Q stacks

4. QEmpowered→
5. Auto→
6. QRecast when ready

Tip Activate R first for 12 seconds of health, armor, and magic resistance, nearby damage, and a 50% reduction to Q's cooldown. W is not a root; for 5 seconds it increasingly slows movement speed and also reduces attack speed. Place E under the slowed target for armor shred, then repeat Q-empowered basic attacks while staying in range for the next Q.

When Extended fights where Nasus needs maximum sustained damage

Tip Q resets Nasus's attack timer, so pressing it right after a basic attack connects cancels the backswing and fires the empowered strike immediately, squeezing in more damage per second. Nasus's own attack speed comes from items, not from R.
