Kindred is fragile early and struggles with the sustained Burnout (W) damage after Dragon's Descent (R). Lamb's Respite (R) prevents units inside from dying rather than making them invulnerable, so Shyvana can time Flame Breath (E) and basic attacks for the moment the zone ends.

Xin Zhao keeps knocking Shyvana up and away with the Three Talon Strike (Q) third-hit knockup and the Crescent Guard (R) knockback, and his strong early sustained damage and healing put him ahead in low-level 1v1s and objective fights.
