Amumu's single-target sustained damage is low, so if he misses Bandage Toss (Q) he gets ground down by Viego's Blade of the Ruined King (Q) lifesteal and loses the 1v1. Even with Tantrum (E), he falls behind in total trade damage.

Viego's Spectral Maw (W) dash-stun interrupts Nunu's Absolute Zero (R) channel, neutralizing him in teamfights and 1v1s. In extended fights, Blade of the Ruined King (Q) lifesteal outlasts his snowball damage.

Before his form transformation, Kayn is a weak clearer and duelist, so Viego holds the edge in early invades and objective fights. Blade of the Ruined King (Q) lifesteal offsets Kayn's early poke.

Xin Zhao is the strongest early duelist; Three Talon Strike (Q)'s third-hit knock-up and Audacious Charge (E) engage cut off Viego's damage, and with Crescent Guard (R)'s execute he wins the total extended trade.

Warwick's Jaws of the Beast (Q) healing offsets Viego's Blade of the Ruined King (Q) sustained damage, and Infinite Duress (R) is unstoppable so Viego can't cut it with Spectral Maw (W), letting its fixed-damage execute win the war of attrition.

Olaf's Ragnarok (R) grants CC immunity, nullifying Viego's Spectral Maw (W) stun, and his Reckless Swing (E) true damage plus Berserker Rage (P) attack speed overwhelm the sustained trade.

Graves tanks Viego's Blade of the Ruined King (Q) trades with New Destiny (P) point-blank shell burst and Quickdraw (E)'s shield and dash, and out-damages him in early 1v1s and invades.

Master Yi becomes untargetable during Alpha Strike (Q) to dodge Viego's Spectral Maw (W), and with Meditate (W) healing and Highlander (R) attack speed he outlasts Viego in extended duels.
